Well, the manual says the original exhaust was a straight through system so as to reduce back-pressure and increase efficiency.
So, it's factory by description. Mostly.
I decided to increase the diameter to assist with the free flowing aspect.

Well I guess it was that, or put a Golf under it to keep up with modern traffic.

Spent part of yesterday afternoon with some cut, polish and wax trying to cheer the roof up some. Typically I started this and then it decides to rain.

Moment of morbid curiosity tonight, so I pulled the rear right window frame off the door and eyeballed down the gap where the window comes up to see what was up with the mechanism.

Well, that's where it's not right. That roller pressed against the side of the glass should be with its cohort (almost out of shot to the right) in the roller bar, which the sash channel should attach to, which holds the glass.
I'm missing a few critical parts of the window mechanism. Joy. Going to have to source those, then.
Silver lining on the situation though, I got the door lock working.

Do you have the missing parts on the other door or are the same parts missing there too?

The other for I'm presuming is all present and correct because that window winds up and down nicely.
