Summertime I used to leave my AMC in Sainsbury's car park with the roof down - no point worrying really.
Although it's always easier to say that about something that is already fucked, er I mean patinated of course.

I regularly used to see a white '69 Dodge Charger in the Sainsbury's multistorey car park, always made me smile, didn't look big at all compared to modern vehicles.

The 69 Charger is a B body- midsize. It's a fair bit smaller than this one. The B body is about the same size as a Granada.
Mind you the Granada was a big car, back in the day...

The radio had become all crackles and distortion, so I fought with it and won, liberating it from behind the dash.

I think the damp had gotten into the connections, cleaning the pins up got it sounding good again.

Sat it on the bench for an hour.

Now it glows properly again. Needs a new vibrator for the HT supply and really needs a new speaker.

The car was stroppy today and didn't want to run. I adjusted the auto choke and it started up but I think it needed fuel.

Bought a new speedometer cable and fitted it.

Also fitted a new rear UJ which has stopped the knocking from the back end which is appreciated.
