Rest of it looks ok. Shoes are a little thin but not down to the rivets, and appear to be worn evenly. Shall check if both sides of the piston moves. Will probably need to dismantle the adjusters and free them up. I think the adjustment has just been done wrong.

I hate brakes. It took about 600 lb/ft to undo the anchor pin locknut. Broke a tool in the process.
However, everything's cleaned, greased, reassembled and adjusted now.
Bought a new distributor cap to replace the cracked one. Minor improvement in running.
Found the culprit, brand new spark plug.

Temporary period of not running right that I was hoping would go away with running but didn't. It got worse so strip, clean and reassemble should see it well again.

Repaired my alternator. New diode trio, took a bit of revving it up to get the light to go out the first time round.
