Afore I came out this weekend I noticed the Worcester B had a slight dribble at the pump. I Minored over to the Beehive and got a new pump for £26. It looked like it had been cast in someone's kitchen by a child wearing flip flops, much heavier than it need be.
I knew something would be wrong and sure enough the fan belt way out of line, the lug on the new pump that carries the alternator was 3 mm too fat. Angle ground it down.

A while back I fitted a clutch slave cylinder from Bee hive. Fluid pissed passed the seal even as I filled it. I think SIC had the same problem, it doesn't have the spreader cup as on the original, just a half hearted attempt to make the return spring do two jobs. The seal looked undersized too, won't be buying from them in the future.

I always where I can buy the AP/Delphi/Lockheed/etc branded brake parts now. Even though they are more expensive, thankfully they're not utter shit.

It really is a race to the bottom isn't it. Such a pain in the arse when you've gone out to get a specific part from a specialist* and it's generic shite.

Finally a bit more done. The dye has done a pretty good job. Not perfect on the really faded stuff but it's certainly tidied it up a bit. I decided on a pan brush thing instead of the recommended paintbrush and glad I did. Far better on the wrist.

Just been on Ebay and someone is asking more than I paid for this for a tatty estate that needs recommissioning, they need to give their head a wobble, estates are practically worthless, no-one wants them.

I know what you mean tho about some of the more eccentric, rich types, they don't care about such things. I did a bit for an heir of the Wedgewood dynasty some time back and his Sisley 4x4 farm car was absolutely hanging, I still wanted it.
Junkman’s 405 auto estate shat its gearbox and needed other mechanical stuff anyway - I assume it’s to be disposed of. Same colour as that one I think.

Yup

Fucking BOLLOX. I'd have had the tow bar, roof rails and probably other bits off that. No sunroof by the looks but I wouldn't mind retrofitting some leccy windows in the front of mine.

A trip into Wales to buy some Hornby Dublo stuff for the old man in the Z. Hopefully not busted for speeding as saw 2 cunts with no van or bike, just a fluro jacket, 63mph in a 60? A great day, rain but no stops as air flow keeps you dry.

If you want a sports* car fucking buy one. Great ride, great handling, loads of go and awesome brakes. Sooooo tempted to press the button to turn the TC off but not my car. It's 18 years old so even sort of fits in here?
