First offer from we buy any car is 1K. They hold strong money for whatever reason, running properly it's a 2K car on the trader to sell from what I've seen?

The first one is similar to this one but a year older and the seat on mine isn't fucked and it hasn't got a big hole in the front bumper
The second one just shows what daft money people ask for the DrivE models. I must admit I was tempted to pay the 20 quid for the tax in instalments

I think you got it in the focus etc. My nephew had a disaster with one. I think he may have took the seller garage to court about ten years ago.

Yep, that's the one. It's already had a new turbo a few years back. Oil starvation from the stupid service intervals is the problem AFAIK. I flushed it when I got it, filters changed, proper oil, gates cam belt kit. I'm off to get my multimeter back shortly.

All options still open at the mo.

Or have been offered a 405 GRx4 petrol estate but it's a bit more of a project than I'm really looking for.

Those V50's are a bastard for the fuse boxes playing up. I had a couple last year that kept playing up and had them cleaned. One of them was sold off and the other lasted a year and he has had a new fuse box fitted a couple of weeks ago by a Volvo specialist (they have to be programmed) The new box was over 700 quid plus fitting and programming.

panhard65 wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2020 1:42 pm I have had fuse box trouble with 2 V50's but when they played up it cut all throttle response. I had my electronics guy go over the fuse box and resolder a whole load of joints and both been fine since. Kicking the n/s dash got one working that wouldn't reset by switching on and off
Ta. I may have to re-visit that then. I had heard about problems so last year I took the whole fuse box out and cleaned every fuse, relay and connection on the whole thing. It's sat a lot since then and I didn't get chance to road test it properly afterwards but it did seem to help a bit. I didn't spot any dry joints but didn't look that hard for them tbh as didn't know they could suffer from that. It may not help that the windscreen has started coming away from the car at the roof and the odd drip is getting in. Going to need to sort that asap.

Hooli's memory's not wrong. I'll rip it out again and check all the connections in the morning. I bought the sealant for the windscreen and never did do it as I haven't ever seen a drip inside it since then   Daft thing is when the car was sat while I was away and in quarantine it got really damp inside. It drove fine till I dried it out with the heater over 2 20 plus mile trips, it'd never done that before!
