I've went out my way to find a Dayco for the 106. OEM or some reason like that.

I must get round to sorting that BX some time.

I've been using Gates for the last 25 years as back in the day they were OEM for Ford but without the price tag. They've always done me OK but maybe in certain ways it's best to move with the times? I'm hoping the bearings that come with a kit are decent spec too, SKF or something of that ilk?

Tempted to get the clutch cable changed at the same time, it made a big difference on that scabby Citroen the old man had.

Ta but I'm in South Shropshire mate, I already risked what's probably the original cambelt and a cracked aux belt 120 miles home. I think that might be pushing my luck a bit too far?!

I'm wondering how much the Guru Gritton is going to charge me for a complete sunroof assembly, replacing it sounds like it's going to be a right fuckon too

Matlock's about 105 miles from me, not too bad a run tbh mainly the A38 and Motorway but 45 minutes from there to mine with a trailer on. The lad's quoted me 160 quid to do the belt plus parts. That 105 miles is going to be a 5 hour round trip with a trailer I should think, plus I'd have to get up to Matlock to drive it back. Ta for the offer but it seems a bit out the way :-)

I think Mr Gritton is up your way, maybe pop in when I have to grab a sunroof?

Lol, same here mate. Plenty of good views round here too and the people are friendly enough too on the whole. I've worked in Matlock many moons ago and visited a couple of times I think? IIRC the sunroof will be somewhere round the Doncaster area but probably wrong.
