Re: Morris Minor Ratrod
Okay, thought so. Used to see a similar one on the way to Bath back in the 90's.

Re: Morris Minor Ratrod
No under bonnet reservoir that I've seen. But then I've not lifted the bonnet since I saw it in the garage 8 weeks ago.mercrocker wrote: ↑Sat Jul 17, 2021 2:51 pm Are they Marina calipers on this? Might find there is a problem with some of the pads you get for them these days - the early NOS pads (or at least those supplied by original companies) have a cutout which later ones often lack which inhibits correct fitting.
Also, 99 percent probable that you have the remote under-bonnet reservoir and that this is connected to the m/c output with a length of flexi - bullshite engineering on the part of the Minor "specialists".
JLH Minors can supply a nice reservoir with a rigid pipe link as well as the correctly configured master cylinder rather than relying on blanking off one end so that it works backwards. It took me 15 years before mine needed doing but all through that time I had a wanky pedal feel - its much better now.
No idea what the brakes are but NorfolkWedge suggested they were Marina wheels. So likely?
I believe you're supposed to have a remote reservoir if you have discs as of the extra fluid capacity they require.

Ah, so it wasn't wanting to keep it for sentimental reasons then. Good job nobody wanted to buy it.christine wrote: ↑Sat Jul 17, 2021 3:25 pm https://www.click4reg.co.uk/private-num ... tes/88CWL/ ????

Yeah it was on there when I agreed to buy the car. I imagine they're the company they got the big numbers from.

Yep, it certainly doesn't need stripping for a ground-up resto. One to use, enjoy and improve as they say. It actually looks better than mine in some areas too.
There's a great long bar in Rock & Roll heaven.......
