Hopeless Heroes - Kiltox’ adventures in shite.

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Hopeless Heroes - Kiltox’ adventures in shite.

Post by Kiltox »

I know that self promoting your YouTube channel gets people a bit worked up here. No beard stroking strangle wanks involved though. If you’d like to watch me talk shite about crap cars, I’ll be doing so on this channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkjfmk ... bCjhOEvgjA

If you’d like to hear me slaver pish about modern electric cars, I do so here: https://www.youtube.com/c/ModernHeroes

I appreciate though that the majority of folks here are interested in the older, grimmer stuff, unlike most of my core youtube subscribers.

Does it get much more grim than this? A 1993 Vauxhall Astra L. L for Loser I assume, nobody was bragging about being seen in one of these.

101k miles and a really impressive MOT history in that I don’t think I’ve seen quite so many fails/advisories in one place.

Travelled 90ish miles home last night no problem at all but what a miserable existence it is.

As much as we disagree often, Sierraman summed it up well at the other place:
Christ. Pass me the Sertraline, a base spec Astra Mk3. If it was a holiday it would be a fortnight in Rhyl with some people you really don’t like in a static caravan on a budget of £8 a day. It would rain every day forcing yourself to drink yourself into a stupor every day.
Not sure what the plan is yet. I think it’ll get a mild fettle but I don’t want to be too involved in it. Bored of trying to do major repairs and coming unstuck:

Electric nothing! Manual mirrors, sunroof, no central locking, no Rev counter, no airbag. As far as I know the only thing separating it from a Merit is the sunroof.
