Cleared a bit more tonight. Found my panel beating hammers.
The driver's door still opens and closes with one finger.
The was a 15' triangulated section of roof beam, slotted neatly between the workbench and the car. It doesn't appear to have touched it.

So far, two modest dents in the roof and a handful of dinks and scratches.

It looks like someone was careless carrying a 2x6 past it, not an entire 18' tall garage collapsed around it. Bizarre.

I suppose if a lot of it fell diagonally it may have spread the load along the base of a "triangle" instead of up towards the apex where the majority of the car sits. Good news though if she isn't much worse than before but I'd be having a word with the insurance company about the damage that vice has done to the back wing.....

That roof dent is almost Patina and part of its survivor history now. Presumably if you can find a good panel beater, that should be relatively straightforward to pop back out again?

I like that. Didn't think a vinyl roof would make so much difference.

The majority of the roof was lifted off in one go, it broke into two mid-air, scattered a few buts here and there but dumped most of it out front and in my neighbor's yard.

The section that landed next to the car is at right angles to where it would have been.

It's still interesting to try figure what happened in what order to the garage, what I think occurred was the roof got lifted up at the back, broke in half and flew off, pulling the back wall away with it, same with the front, then with no support the side fell in gently, being supported by the wind.

Recall I was right in the middle of working the high points of that line of dents on the back wing... Heh. 9 months ago now, feels like a lifetime. Unfortunately that car was uninsured. My insurance company refused to insure the garage for more than $4.8k so that obviously it's enough to rebuild it(!). Their adjuster said probably closer to $50k.

Liberated the car. Hardly damaged at all, which I am still amazed by.
