Re: 1966 Plymouth Fury 3
Would the Plymouth and now sold GTA fetch enough to buy the materials to build a new garage and allow the Pontiac to be inside again?

No, not really. The price of construction materials went up significantly. Selling the Plymouth wouldn't make a significant dent in that, and the Renault sold for peanuts.
Hence trying to keep the Plymouth, because buying another would be prohibitive cost-wise.

Re: 1966 Plymouth Fury 3
Relocation occured. Bought some screws and niknaks.
Turns out the crapshoot on the light buckets was I bought 3 left hand ones. So, two are secured properly. The other is held in with one screw sort of in the right place.
Turn signal housings now have stainless screws holding them together, that is a lesson learned from days gone by

Turns out the light surround is stainless steel.
That means it's utterly impossible to polish because it's so hard of a metal. Brought a halfway decent gloss to the left one there. That took two hours.Pontac Cheepten

If you can hang on then materials costs should begin to fall hopefully as rebuild work is completed and insurance money used up

Personally, I don't see the cost of anything going down any time soon.DodgeRover wrote: ↑Sat Jul 23, 2022 10:01 pm If you can hang on then materials costs should begin to fall hopefully as rebuild work is completed and insurance money used up

Stuck the rear lights in temporarily.
Need to go dig the rear bumper out of the garage.

Wrangled that heavy SoB out the garage and onto the car.
I had forgotten the reason why I bought this car. Seeing those pictures of it with the front and back temped up reminded me just why.
