Some of the things I had ordered arrived in. Just in time for it to rain so that's cancelled trying them out.
A new headlight switch, 2lb of .8 flux core wire and an automatic hat.

Welded the indicator switch lever back together and added a little bit of metal to bring the shape of the gearshift detent back where it had worn away with use.

Bought some odds and ends to repair the door hinges.

New roller bar cut to length from the bolt and drilled through.

Fitted in place inside the hinge with the roll pin. Spring to the end of the lever arm. All greased up.

Door now stays open on the fully open and half detent.

Other side to do next, but I've called it quits for today because it's a bit warm in the sun.

New distributor cap and stuff fitted.



That's good. Got a gearshift linkage on order from a breakers up in Washington. Needs another oil change, to flush the dregs of the watery yuk out.

Other than that I'm happy with that.

It's like that to clear the steering. The other side is much more conventional looking.

It rained. Then it stopped for 5 minutes. So I pulled the generator out and cut the second bolt/roller to approximate length.
Got attacked by the guêpes which had set up shop in the other A pillar door shut. It then started raining heavily again so that put stop to outside activities.

School PTA meeting tonight so no more until tomorrow.
