Re: 1966 Plymouth Fury 3
I bought one of these US Pro/Bergen ones. If it blunts a very slight tickle with a thin cutting disk on the grinder brings it right back. I had to drill shit loads out on the back of that 504 pickup, it was covered in them. I'd have gone thru several but one did the whole job and it was second hand already.

That's a good tip sharpening with the cutting disk, I've got some wood spade bits I'll be giving that a go with later, they have a point at the end of each side which means the grind stone can't be used.

I just grind that point bit off with the bench grinder. Then use them as normal spade bits.

Are you talking about the bosch flat bits?
What do the pointy bits do? I've never noticed a difference.

Re: 1966 Plymouth Fury 3
Give a nicer edge to the holes, with less splintering, important when working with hard wood

I don't know if those are available here, I'll have to look again at the drill bits.

Bosch speed bits can be tickled accordingly but nowhere near as easily as the spot weld drills. As for US pro not being available Fucking marketing cunts

Re: 1966 Plymouth Fury 3
Part of me is wishing I hadn't, but eh.
With a bit of gloss on looks like someone ran out of skill at some point and thumped the back end into a post.
I'll see if I can't massage that back into better shape, it's tempting to find a replacement quarter though.
Looks better with the swage back in there though, dents, ripples and all.
