I was curious to see if your car was in their facebook albums and I'm not sure if it is or it isnt . . .

They have been building up a crash repaired S2000 in Grey and the pictures show yellow parts being used

I'm tempted to agree. I suppose you could pony up another grand to bail it out but if it were me I would spend a few more bob on a gallon can of Nitromors and a new blade for my Stanley knife and revisit the site to make sure the car was of no use to anyone.

But I'm childish like that.

But modern Nitromors is pish.

Starchem SynStryp is what you want as it still has the dichloromethane in it.

I'd lift the car and worry about the key issue later.

Sound like they are skint and trying it on with you as their 'Cashcow'. Not sure how to proceed but getting the car back from them as a matter of urgency sounds like the correct move.

That’s the one we use but I could not remember the name of the stuff. It smells evil.

That’s the one we use but I could not remember the name of the stuff. It smells like proper old-school Nitromors.

Thanks chaps. I think we’re broadly in agreement.
I’ll keep you posted.

I'm a bit of a bastard so I'd agree with Jim. I'm also highly cynical of people and more so of scamming twats so I highly doubt you would get car back as was without a major fight. There's no more than a few hours in at this stage but I'd bet you wouldn't see most of the interior if you tried reclaiming at at the very least.

Can you put payment on a credit card and raise a dispute through the credit card company to reclaim the cost ?

Ok, thanks chaps

Your views pretty much mirror mine, I’ve asked, repeatedly for a breakdown, detailed invoice etc & been ignored.

So this morning, I snatched it back.

No keys made manoeuvring awkward, but I ‘ broke in ‘ successfully to lock the steering, take it out of gear, handbrake ( rammed on) off. I popped the rear plastic cover off, in 20 seconds, for simplicity

It’s at home now. Let’s see if I can get the missing trim & keys back-otherwise I’m in for another world of pain.

Then come the legals- cos I ain’t writing all that money off.
