Van seat suggestions

Post by 8BAK465 »

Right get your thinking caps on I need to get some replacement seats for my van that kind of look right for the period?

I need some nice old car pre airbag jobby's before seats started shrinking (they didn't think we would notice eh) the sort with room for Fat Brewer

There are loads of cheap seats on eBlag but non look right :(

What I need....................

Id prefer tan colour towards gold in the spectrum if only i could find a Vauxhall Royal interior

No scene tax so cheap :?

Ive searched classic car seats,Olov Seats etc I am just picking others noggins here to awaken makes and possibility's long forgotten

No Saab Seats bad karma I don't get on with them apparently

I may have the originals retrimmed eventually but need something to tide me over that's not decomposing and stinks of California Skunk in the meantime.

Had to cut the pockets off mine as they had dried out like crisps and also the pelmets as they stunk like aforementioned Skunk Shite

Answers on a postcard, pictures welcome so I can say Oooo they are nice :P

An old camper of some sort would usually have seats of that type. Try looking for an old talbot breaker, that kind of thing.

Not necessarily looking for camper seats as I find some of them a little cheesy

Looking for comfortable armchairs from a car I guess?

just my minds gone a bit blank thinking of search titles?

The seats I had in my mk2 Galaxy Ghia were good.

That was written off at 30 odd thousand miles as a water leak had soaked all the looms, ECUs etc. in the footwells. I've no idea what caused it as I used to keep the drain channels free.

Yeah I was thinking Yank-aimed MPV. What about the geezers that bring in, break and sell those GM/Chevy Astro things? Or the mob that do Alphards or whatever those Toyota things are called if you don't mind Wrong Continent.

V70/S80 seats are generally found to be the comfiest going. You'll get some decent leather ones quite cheap I'd imagine.

The base Astro has the most godawful spine breakingly uncomfortable seats you can imagine.
The top end ones are okayish but during that period in the mid nineties into the 2000's Chevrolet forgot how to make vehicles.

Ford Explorer seats are comfy

Ford Maverick the later ones so 2000 onwards nice and comfy, I believe fabric rather than leather was an option

Same as a Ford Escape in the States.

In being thick, Jeep Grande Cherokee, tan leather feels like sitting in an arm chair.
