Mercrocker's 3RD annual car show PIC HEAVY GO TO LAST POST!

With a reasonably nice day forecast we decided to return to the local car show we visited in May. Unfortunately the weather cunts lied and it pretty much pissed it down all day which meant a lot of people had gone home to rub their cars dry before I'd even bothered to get my shirt wet.

Some good stuff there, though, I'll post in dribs and draps as I get mared around by the uploader thing.

A couple of the more interesting Yanks (as opposed to day vans and identikit slammed "patina" 50s pickups)

This one has lived in town here longer than I have, I know most of its owners but until today had not met the current one. He has had it before and desperately wanted it back. Took him 25 years and he is now spending money on it - this Buick Skylark has come so close to the oval it deserves to fly high again.....

A mate of mine owns this Cad as his only driver....Ex Reg Holdsworth and a really nice car 1976 Fleetwood Brougham.

Lovely Westie with unusual parking light arrangement. Can't remember the dates but these were at various times permitted, outlawed and re-allowed. Must have been a pisser if you'd made them a permanent fixture although I believe using them together would still have been OK. Maybe.

This Morris 8 had a soggy bit of paper stuck to it which I could barely read after the rain but the gist of it seemed to be that it belonged to a fella living near Oulton Park and at various times and for various reasons had ferried Jim Clark, Frank Costin and James Hunt to and from paddock, incident and landing strip. Very sorry for itself but full of history although its future seems a little uncertain
