Maybe there's a local legend about vampire monkeys that scale house walls and suck the blood of the inhabitants? Count Hoolia?

Not been here long, another 400+ miles today without motorways and a queue at the first real border.

Sat in the hotel restaurant waiting for food so I'll update everyone now...

Today's pics of Hungary. It's like Austria but maintained by the French! So every building looks like it was great but got abandoned in about 1944. Plenty of nice roads though as I didn't touch their motorways

Had to laugh in the last big town there, Mako. All the roadside stalls sell garlic and there's a statue of a garlic in the middle of town. It was pouring with rain for 20mins as I went through though so I didn't get pics the rest of Hungary sells melons by the road, which is odd as I never saw any growing there.
