I did look into that but you need to have an address in france to buy a burner sim unlike here.

You might have grounds to grumble if the UK wasn't a "third country", but it is. I'd have grounds being in the EU, but they're probably out of scope of the EU e-commerce regs.
Guadeloupe may be out in the Caribbean, but it's definitely a French Department and Region. Same for the few others the dark side of nowhere on the list.
The rest have land borders with France.
