2024 BMW 5 Series Lets You Change Lanes By Looking In The Mirror

https://www.bmwblog.com/2023/04/25/2024 ... ne-change/

What happens when you surreptitiously look in the mirror to see a bra less stunner walking up the pavement behind you isn't explained.

Talk about technology looking for a use.

All theae driving aids are just giving the driver even less to do. They go aroumd in a trance and barely have to concentrate anymore which makes it hell for people that give a fuck. I went out in the tt earlier and had give someone the wanker sign and blasted the horn at an older bloke before I'd evem got to the end of the street.
They ahould maybe design an aid that turns a corner correctly as I can't remember the last time I saw anyone that didn't cut across a T junction. A woman nearly took the front of the van off in sainsbury's last week. It boils my fucking piss.

We have a customer with Essential Tremor or wobbly head as we call him (behind his back). There is an old dear that goes nextdoor with the same. That BMW would be doing a slalom if people like that got behind the wheel.

I'm looking in my mirrors constantly. You need to be aware of the traffic around you. Especially with the van with no rear view mirror.
It sounds like a load of bollocks to me.

Regarding cutting corners as cars have got bigger have turning circles as well?

I have a mwb van and manage not to do it. Trick is to drive past the junction before turning in. I watch my rear wheels in the mirrors and count it as a fail if I cross the line. Which I'd imagine it would be if you were taking your test.

Couldn't see the skip in my mirrors anyway. Clever chops.
