Are the cars I've had since I bought the Dolomite and have been worked on.
Never realised you had the dolly so long. But the midget appears to have stalled and it feels like the rover is a new toy. With you spending time and money on that instead of the other two.

Not a criticism just an observation. I find it hard to see things through too.

How do you find your TT to park? I think the miorrors are crap and too small. Mine's often parked on the wonk and I usually straigten it up when I realise.

I don't find it too bad. Small enough to easily reverse in without too much hassle. Wing mirrors are a bit on the small side but I'm used to just looking out the back window and lining up with that anyway.

I've found a Spitfire and agreed a price. I can't 100% say yes as something needs to go. Almost certainly the Sprint but I'm hoping I can get enough to do effectively a straight swap financially.

This is a proven runner and driver. Bodywork isn't 100% but it's a good 90% and I must not poke. Worse thing I ever did was learn to weld. But it's a body on chassis so I don't need to worry about the bits it needs for quite a while. (E.g. rear left wing is a bit frilly)
Key thing is that I can trust driving it and enjoy it without immediate work. That leads me to be far less likely to poke

@Nibblet on here should recognise it.

Looks good. 1500 at that age I think? Don't believe the horror stories about the bottom end, I thrashed the same engine in a Midget for years without a single issue.

No. It's why it attracted me to it as I like different colour classic cars especially if not factory colour. I love red or yellow spitty but this is a nice green.

Aston Martin Green I believe. It's kinda like the classic 60s Mustang Fastback colour too.

As I'm in the van 95% of the time I'm trained to just use mirrors when reversing. It has four electric mirrors which means reversing it is a total doddle. Look at the size of the lugs too!

Yeah 1500. Engine runs well without hesitation. Release bearing makes a noise. Chain possibly a bit slack when warm. Both easily sorted if I do desired but will be fine for the summer season.

A liability of an engine but they're cheap second hand still - especially a 1500. Shame I sold a good spare one recently

I hoicked that out of a Dolomite in an hour. Spitfire is going to be even easier. So even if I do blow it up or it dies, it's a piece of piss to replace with another (even a 1300) and then rebuild the original at my own leisure.

I had to put a clutch in the Midget, was the nearest to engine work it had.

OD on it? would make it nicer on main roads & they fit without hammering the tunnel on Spits.
