Re: Do EVs make sense to you?
A quick look shows that you're limited to 750 miles per month and that's what the £40 for electricity covers.

For that much money you could just use a taxi?LynehamHerc wrote: ↑Wed Sep 13, 2023 4:07 pm A quick look shows that you're limited to 750 miles per month and that's what the £40 for electricity covers.

You have to wait for they fuckers (Taxis) though and if they are Andrex dodgers you probably can't take your dog as they are harram.

The lease prices look high but they include insurance and maintenance - they seem big on the 30 day contract thing meaning you can end the contract or change the car after 30 days, but they don't seem to have any info on the maximum time you could keep the car for.

1396/750=£1.825 a mile (more if you do less than 750 miles) or am I missing something?LynehamHerc wrote: ↑Wed Sep 13, 2023 5:51 pm By my reckoning it's just over 5p a mile so pretty good.

I haven't tried to book a seven seater to the tip/recycling centre but I would expect to hear a dial tone after askingDodgeRover wrote: ↑Wed Sep 13, 2023 5:44 pmFor that much money you could just use a taxi?LynehamHerc wrote: ↑Wed Sep 13, 2023 4:07 pm A quick look shows that you're limited to 750 miles per month and that's what the £40 for electricity covers.
"Can I have a seven seater I can get a soiled mattress and seven bags of garden waste in ?"
This is why I have a creaky estate, the number of tip runs I have done have gone a long way towards the purchase price!
Bear in mind the engine alone in my car is now apparently worth more than I paid for the whole car!

Woah there! The end user had a contract with the firm that's gone tits up. It's up to the punter to decide if he finds any future offer to his liking.LynehamHerc wrote: ↑Wed Sep 13, 2023 2:30 pmThe administrator:

As the used price of EVs continues to fall there might be a nice reliable income stream from those existing customers if the firm can be bought at a knock down price. You probably wouldn't need many admin staff and no sales ones so you could have a bare bones operation, sending the cars to auction once the lease had finished.
