Upon revisiting it, it was found it definitely wasn't watertight.
I remembered I had Autoaid membership, so just got it recovered home instead of risking it.
Re: Sub Par Cars
New radiator in, along with the electric fan switch from a 4-pot (so it switches on slightly sooner).
Car is no longer trying to cook itself.
Now, however, it's making a fun thumping noise from underneath at random. It's so significant I can feel it through the floor when it does it.
My confidence in this car to even get me to the next street right now is through the floor.
EDIT: I took it out for a 'drive' earlier. I got as far as the edge of the car park. With the windows down, it's a rather significant metallic thumping noise in time with the rotation of the wheels. It even feels like the rear wheels are stuttering when it does it. Something is majorly fucked underneath it.

Re: Sub Par Cars
Fuck knows.
I've had both rear wheels off this afternoon and can't see or feel anything amiss.
I'm going up to Aberdeenshire for over a week tomorrow, so I'll be taking the Civic and leaving the BMW in the naughty corner... again.
I wanted to blast up Glen Shee making silly I6 noises, but nooooooo.

I suggested a marksman would be the easiest way to remove them from the bridge the other day...Hooli wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 10:37 pmRoad protester?LynehamHerc wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 6:36 pm Or something caught underneath and catching once per rotation?
You could even be really humane and shoot them with a tranquilizer dart with a big net below.
