Maybe they didn't have such a need for better brakes as, once out of the city there were generally fewer instances of the need to slow down for corners etc..

What corners?

Besides, there are good and bad drum brakes. Not all of them are as shit as the American ones and even they had good and bad ones. Ever stepped on the brake pedal of an Armstrong Siddeley 346? You'd be surprised.

Today is "Drive it day 2019". Which one of your fine Motor Vehicles is going to be the privileged one for a day out today?

The Humber Super Snipe took part in the Lancashire Automobile Club St. George's Day Rally, Conrad Conrad navigating, a thoroughly enjoyable day out. The car performed fine and wafted us along comfortably, although the clutch is starting to slip now on steep hills if not careful, and a thudding sound I think is a bush on its way out. There should be some good photos to come from the course photographers.

Yes, it was a great day out. We even placed quite high, mainly on virtue of actually finishing the course and not taking advantage of a short cut like so many others did! The Snipe performed beautifully, and we wafted through some beautiful countryside with the car untroubled by the hills.

I was too busy flawlessly* navigating to take any pictures, except these few:

Lunch break was at a lovely old Hall now partially used as an antique/curio shopping centre. They had some interesting stuff, but my interest was more with the reel to reel tape recorders and ship's compass than the gold and silver trinkets. They had this Peugeot flatulent bicycle which I photographed for Junkman. It was £750.

We were hoping to see the R4 in the car park! Did you make any progress putting the head back on or was Saturday's weather just too brutal?
