I don't know if an 8 track was ever supplied, usually a dealer fitted accessory? I'm sure the 1978 Renault Boutique accessory brochure lists all those items although of course the Rossies would be a 3 stud frog looky-like. Probably something Yank for the vinyl top and German for the lecky aerial.....

Still using dw8 in the mid 2000s? I thought the facelift was end of 2005 and had the 1.6 hdi. Is yours a quite late early model? The dispatch is a fair size bigger than the escort too and not much more power. The escort is slow but once up to speed it will hold it.

Central Throtle pedal. LHD BMC FG trucks had them until in the mid '60's they squeezed a pedal slightly to the right of the brake. The footwell is just too narrow to get 3 pedals in, on the right hooker there was enough space.

My Seddon had it an odd arrangement to get round the space problem, the accelerator pedal was that small button sticking through the floor located behind the brake pedal, extremely uncomfortable to use. With the engine virtually touching your knee that wasn't the only issue with comfort. I did pamper myself by adding flashing indicators though.

I’d say Cavalier MK1 for Rostyles, and possibly vinyl roof . Ford stopped putting Rosryles on Cortinas after about 73/74, same with Capris, definitely by the time the Mk2 came out. Avengers, Hunters, Chevette, Viva and Magnums had Rostyles and vinyls until the end, but I think the Cavalier outlived them all.

I once drove a 2004 Octavia non turbo diesel, it was interesting.

I’ve never heard of any car having a factory fitted8 track, not saying there weren’t any.
The Jaguar XK , had an electric aerial in MK1 guise. They ran until 2004ish.

The cop out answer to a lot of these questions is a commercial or Land Rover Defender or something from a backward country - like America.

Brochure flickage indicates that the vinyl roof probably died out indeed in America - 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood seems to be the latest, although that might be because I don't have/want brochures for anything newer than that.
