OK, have we had the right hand operated handbrake? Or the foot operated handbrake? Do Benz still do them?

My Fiat Ulysses , a 98 and a 2001 both had right hand handbrakes and were brilliant for doing handbrake turns.
Also that and the dash mounted gearshift freed up a bit of kneeling space between the front seats .Laughing at the thought of the autopsy results after an accident was almost more dangerous than the act.

Foot pedal operated parking brakes are common here, both my new cars have a ratchet release pedal for it (push down to engage, push down again to release).
