Yeah mine has the auto headlights. Dr Google says this happens when the clocks go bad - apparently the clocks send something into to CANBUS to say they are down and the headlight module interprets that as "On". I will get the scanner on it but a lot of Google wisdom seems to suggest removing the clocks, drying them out indoors and seeing if that "mends" them. It is obviously a bit damp as it's been standing about unused outside for weeks.

The odd thing is they worked fine on first startup, but the thing I didn't notice straight away when the lights went wonky was that the clocks had also gone off - the message centre is off, odometer gone, rev counter stuck at 1000.

I'd expect it to show a code up in that case. At least other modules saying they can't talk to the clocks. If there is one, clear the code and it might go all back to normal anyway.

Code reader just reported no comms from the clocks - clearing the codes didn't help.

On a tip from Googling I removed fuse 52 and 64 in the engine bay fusebox, left it a few minutes and then put them back - which thankfully, brought the clocks back to life.
