Having trouble finding a used turbo for less than £180. Some bloke popped up on the UK 211 facebook group to offer me one but he’s in France and didn’t answer my question about how much.
Looking like an insert might be just as worthwhile.

Don’t suppose anyone knows if this from an S class of the same age would fit if I changed the actuators (The S class one looks like a vacuum one and mine’s a box of electronics.

I am sacking him off now as I don't have time for this.

Or maybe a bot?

It's like the 'chat' I get when I try and contact the Skoda dealer.

There is a bloke breaking a W211 with the same engine as mine on the FB group - he did at least give me a sensible straight answer, but he wants £280 for the turbo as he says it was recon 2 years ago.

I think I am going to have to go down the insert route - it's about the same price as the cheapest second hand turbo I can find and probably no worse in terms of the chances of the fucker grenading again.
