After the Glossop meet my car samed to suffer a lot of brake fade on the way home and yesterday the brakes felt terrible.
I know the front pads were getting low so booked it in for front and rear pads today. Looks like an underlying condition has reared its head. No brake pressure at all. Gets solid with engine off but loses pressure with engine running and pumping brakes causes engine to hunt at idle.fuck.

Could be related to the oil smell maybe? A blocked breather or vac hose causing oil to go somewhere it shouldn't and a lack of vacuum?

Sounds like that to me too, shouldn't be too bad to sort.

Thinking vac leak. When servo went on Peugeot it didn't lose pressure but instead had no assistance.
It has discs on the rear but the servo is in a cunt of a place, behind the block in the middle of the firewall under the bulkhead hidden behind ac and heater pipes as well as numerous hoses.

I'd think so yeah. It could be varying the size of the leak as I think there's valves & things inside the servo that move as you push the pedal.
