Re: Fords finest. Don't come a knocking
She seems to sit a bit better and doesn't feel as soft, hard to explain but it was quiet before but even more so now yet still very supple suspension while still being good at handling.

You're spoiling this one, but then you won't find another like it

Re: Fords finest. Don't come a knocking
Thats exactly my point. When we found out the price from ford yesterday and before we found the supply elsewhere I looked on Facebook for a viable replacement for around 600 quid. Only 1 thing popped up amd it was a 2006 picasso diesel with 2 months ticket and towbar. 550 no offers. History shown it had welding done in 2020 and advisories on corrosion, brakes and droplinks last year which you can guess won't have been done. Purchase it,cambelt, service, brakes, droplinks and maybe a couple of tyres would set me back 900 all in then mot and welding say another 200 to 300 for a decent job. Means I've spent more than the grand for parts from ford.
After finding cheaper arms I've counted up my receipts and including purchase of focus, tyres, rear suspension, brakes, cambelt, service, atf change and a few other bits and bobs it owes me 1450. Now discount the fact its 19 years old and look at all new parts and just over 50 thousand on clock. What can you buy for 1500 nowadays thats a good auto towcar with no corrosion, all bits like cambelt and tyres done, freshly serviced and no more than 54k on clock? I think you might struggle to be honest.

- I scored very low on the autie test. I’m cheerful, happy, confident, like meeting new people, chatty and largely sociable. What the fuck am I doing on this forum?
