I found my wife's newer shape one harder to get comfy in. The seats have a ledge at the front to support your thighs but in practice it was tricky to get comfy.

I've got left side hemi paresis so I like my bad leg to either go straight forward or straight down on a clutch pedal. Any variation causes my weaker left side to have less progress and therefore harsher on a clutch. The mk2 avensis would probably be ok in an auto for me but the seats are also harder.

I've finally got round to going through old paperwork. The chap bought it new actually kept it till 2019. The avensis was on a private plate so I checked that and it's now on a vw bought new in 2019 which coincides with paperwork. I might have to go up and see the chap to return some paperwork. Knowing my luck though he would have died the day before. Address is only up Mexborough.

Been to far side of Sheffield tonight to fetch another car in. Impressed with fuel figures.

47 mpg going and 38 coming back. Coming back I was towing an astra on an a frame and I kept off motorway so was Sheffield outskirts,Manor parkway,Dronfield bypass into Chesterfield and along back lanes to my house.

I see a few of these still plated in Derby at Man Air from time to time.

There's 3 avensis that I know still in derby,1 R 1 s and 1 T plate if I recall.
