Re: New car purchased. Fords finest.
It's got a decent tow weight for size of car. Xsara picasso is only 1100kg,zafira a is 1000kg. And our mini is 1500kg rated I think.

My berlingo I think was rated at 1000kg braked but yet I managed to tow an unbaked Peugeot partner on an A frame through the Derbyshire dales. That made for interesting* downhill progression.

By 'eck lad, my memories of Bilingual brakes is they did bugger all with a loaded van except lock the front wheels. Must be even more fun with more weight hung out back.

It was interesting coming down Sheffield side of the snake to ladybower then down through Bamford. A couple of times my friend nearly at to jump out at 10mph to jump in the Peugeot to assist.

I've just travelled in this, it's a decent car and I didn't even die once surprisingly with Bub's history in Fords.

Re: New car purchased. Fords finest.
Had snowfall this afternoon that has since fucked off and turned to ice. My driveway is slightly uphill and is pebbled so no worries of traction. Sadly the pavement drop is like sheet ice as I found to may dismay tonight. Backing onto the driveway the car slid a bit to the right as I was coming through the gate, automatic and uphill means a little bit of revs needed. Driver side of car scraped the wall so now I've an immaculate car with a scraped wing and bumper. Oh bollocks to it.
