Re: WReX Wagon
What a pisser.
I think that cable thing might be the bonnet pull.
Is the bonnet carbon fibre?

Re: WReX Wagon
Unfortunately yes (to the carbon fibre as well as the pisser!)
Oh well, I enjoy a good project. (Even the unexpected ones - arse burgers!!!)

- I scored very low on the autie test. I’m cheerful, happy, confident, like meeting new people, chatty and largely sociable. What the fuck am I doing on this forum?

Re: WReX Wagon
All the photos I was sent were 10 footers at least. In the same way no-one could see it in my first pics. No comment from the seller.
I could tell the rear bumper was slightly low and that a strip of paint was missing along the edge of the engine lid/ rear quarter, looking like it had rubbed.
Oh well, you live and you learn! I’m over it now.
I have spent $35k more wisely in the past though…
Nothing I can do but suck it up and get to enjoying a new project(!)
I’ve wanted an early car for maybe 10 years now, so I have the chance to make it what I like (and throw good money after bad )

Re: WReX Wagon
Given the way prices seem to have gone up for these you may have paid too much now but probably not if you'd bought it in a year or two. So you've gained a year or so to get it on the road.
This might not make sense as I'm using Man Maths. I have to use it with my family about my cars but, surprisingly, they think that it's a load of bollocks.

I'm left alone when it comes to my cars. She never mentions how much they cost or what I'm spending. I never ask her how much she spends on fucking shoes and bags. It's got to be more than what I *invest in my vehicles.

Re: WReX Wagon
Ha ha ha. Thanks for the kind words!
It’s just one of those things. Getting upset about it, won’t make things any better - the opposite if anything!
I’m going to see if I can get a summer of fun out of it and then pull it to pieces and get a respray etc to my ideal car.
It’s meant to be a keeper, so I’ll just be bringing forward some attention to make it the car I’ve been dreaming of.
Still would have been nicer if I didn’t have to, but them’s the breaks!

Re: WReX Wagon
Nah, fuck that enjoying it first shit!
Attack it with a wire wheel and a CAT, (Eddie TheRainman will buy you one) pull it to bits, put it in storage, then buy another one even worse.
Standard practice round here.
