Re: WReXless now a chirpy cheap Jeep
Fantastic!
Not only is the Jeep reportedly fixed (can pick it up on Monday) but little ‘uns Miata has turned up AND I took him to a local empty parking lot, to try and learn clutch control.
I’m not sure who had the biggest adrenaline shakes about half way though - him or me!
Was pretty brilliant though (but we need to work a little more on it).
Also I’ve put an advert for cheap Miata parts on the local Auto X forum (as they are used a lot in amateur racing here) and we have a free replacement rear light (to swap out the cracked one) and also a free set of Lexus type clear versions.
Not sure which he is going to choose, but it’s going to be so much fun fitting it / them with him.

Re: WReXless now a chirpy cheap Jeep
A day of two halves - that’s for sure.
Wife drove my sons new Miata to work, so he could ride in it and show his friends.
I said a happy goodbye to the cockroach (after putting almost 1100 miles on it this past week) and picked up my Jeep.
Fantastic place to be, looking through the letterbox windscreen and the feeling of really having to drive.
A modern day series Land Rover.
Sons track meet was canceled, so after work I went to his school to pick him up… only the Jeep played up again. Same issue as last time. Issue with the transfer case. Modern day series Land Rover… So I pick the little ‘un up and drove in the wrong direction for home, to take the Jeep back. Tried to keep my cool, but at one point had to pause so I didn’t go ‘full Anglo Saxon’. It’s not the stealerships fault.
As I put a lot of miles on cars, this time they gave me a Jeep clown car. Complete with company ’courtesy car’ script down the side, making it look like I’m some tosser who has totaled his car. Got home late and urgently started making supper for the family. The boy disappearing to the skatepark, when I get a call from the wife. The Miata won’t start…
Long story short, there is some electrical issue I need to sort, but the Clown car had enough energy in its electrics to jump the Mazda into starting. Mrs isn’t impressed.
I followed her most of the way home, but ended up in front due to traffic as we came off the freeway. As we pulled onto the slip road, the truck in front (about 50’ or so away) threw up a stone at the loaner car and has made a chip in the very middle of the drivers side viewing area of the windscreen.
Almost 3 hrs of driving today plus work, plus fannying around with cars and still have a windscreen and a Miata electrical system to get fixed (for my troubles). ARSE

I’ve already asked and the WReX, lesbos time travel car is gone
Still marveling at the clown car…
Clown car interior… Complete with swathes of ‘veganism’ (that’s plastic to you and I). I wonder if someone ordered this specifically, saw what it looked like ‘in the flesh’ and decided that their only taste wasn’t just in their mouth…

Haven't they got any trade in motors they could let you run about in rather than that thing?

That is brilliantly disgusting, it takes effort to make something that bad.
