I've had the misfortune to drive a friend's 1.7 340 and that gear knob came off in my hand.

Later the same day the boot lock barrel came out with the key.

Did the door panels in the back come off too? My mum's three door did and I got the blame for it! I believe now that TADIS.

Lost my 50 pence pocket money down there too.

Car was under 3 years old at the point as well.

I lost the gear knob on the estate I borrowed t'other year, halfway across a junction and tore the fucking thing right off while going for second. Luckily I kept hold of it rather than firing it into the roof.

New vanity plates for the 75 which follow the Audi's registration.

I paid a bit extra to get the MGR logo on them, because heritage.

I've just realised that I haven't updated this thread in a month.

Earlier in April I did some work.on a fellow 75 owners car. New Xenon headlights, new bonnet struts, new wiper blades, coolant checked (K Series with HG replaced about a year ago) and general check over.

Then I turned to the red Saab. The MOT was looming and the airbag light was on due to damaged wiring under the drivers seat.

I had removed the drivers seat wiring loom from a breaker a few weeks before and got around to fitting that shortly after.

As you can see from the last picture, no more airbag light.

It passed its MOT yesterday with a few advisories.

I will attend to them but I wanted to reward myself with a fun thing so I ordered some wheel spacers as the back one already has them and looks good.

Next, I wanted to attend to the erratic oil level in the 75. I discovered that the maintenance free BMW PCV filter that was supposed to be in it had gone and been replaced by a now incredibly choked standard foam item. A lucky save as any longer and oil would have spewed out the dipstick hole.

Check the nick of that:

I also replaced the air filter and will do the oil next week now I've found the cause of the problem.

I also messed around with the Audi's driver door window switch as it would cut in and out.

A loose plug was found followed by a cleanup and splay of the pins saw the window working reliably again.

The passenger window then decided to go on strike!

Those cracked dash clocks on your saab must be a common problem. My 9-5 binnacle was cracked in the same place.
