I have had this just over a month now.
Initially I really missed the outgoing Cavalier but I've got over it now and have warmed to the Saab about 200% since I got it. Especially now that the thermostat has been replaced, I have heaters and because the engine gets up to the correct temperature, I can give it a boot full every now and then. It really does drive lovely, very responsive, handles well and it smooth and quiet.
It's got a very weird spec but it's got nice items such as cruise, rain sensing wipers and powerfold mirrors. The leather seats could do with being heated and electrically adjustable but they are very comfortable.
I'm definitely going to keep it for longer than I initially thought. The fuel consumption has improved from 19mpg to 23 now that I'm using it more and the engine is running at the right temperature.
I polished up a few pogweaseled areas of paint and I'll do it properly in the spring.
Oil change carried out.
A few wee jobs still to do:
Rear pads getting low although nothing affected at the moment.
Definitely a front wheel bearing on the piss but it's not particularly loud at the moment
Needs 2 front top mounts, springs ping as I'm turning but once on the move it's fine.
Parking sensors not working
Radio aerial is bent and tatty
Only one powerfold mirror working
Overall a great value car that I'm glad I bought.
