Hmm, that could indeed work. There's nothing ever left in the car that's of value and it's immobilised as well.

Some progress this week.

Cavalier thermostat arrived and the car is all built back up. I will fill it with coolant when it's on the driveway today in case my home made gasket for the housing doesn't hold and pishes coolant everywhere.

The Civic brakes were squealing on Tuesday. I only noticed it because I was in a multistorey car park with the window down after taking a ticket.

I fitted new pads and Mrs_Pin now says the brakes are much better than they were so I'll call that fixed.

There's also been a knocking from somewhere and with the wheel off I saw the OSF damper was wet. I'll have that replaced at the MOT in November.

I think I also mentioned that I got the 75 airbag light to go off by unplugging and plugging the connectors under the passenger seat.

MOT pass for the Cavalier yesterday. The tester is a bit of a fan a Cavaliers and said he was really impressed with how solid the car is, especially the rear inner arches.

Are you still considering selling the cavalier?

The only Cavalier I'd consider would be the one with the 2.0 engine in. I always remember them going far better than any right to have. They were a fast car you could buy when you passed your test that wasn't super expensive to insure. Likewise the Omega was too.

Cavaliers were cheap bangers when I was learning to drive and so they've got stuck in my eyes as that. I imagine much like a Marina/Maxi/etc is to those a decade or two older than me.
