A friend is big into his Lotuses. All of them but the Elise especially goes through constant changes, depending on what parts they can source at a particular time. It's not uncommon for several completely different looms between a few tens of VINs. Basically better off on them either taking off the part and going from that, or modding to make fit whatever is available right now. If you can get the part still that is.

That's when a handy local motor factors comes in, oh there's 4 possibilities, right I'll take all of them and return the wrong ones!
The EBC book used to have actual size pictures of the brake shoes/ pads in it for comparison purposes

I soon learned with old Pug/Citroen stuff you are best off just taking the part with you to a local factors and plonking it down on the counter and saying can I have one of/set of these please? Especially with brake related items as there were often multiple to choose from and you'd never get the right part first time. Whichever way the wind was blowing at the time the car was built seemed to determine which part was fitted.

Seems its not just the Cavvy then, maybe I'm being a bit harsh on the old girl!

I did a Cazana on the Civic.
Weird that the seller last month bought it with the knowledge of the non opening boot, concealed from me 11 months later, yet lost money on it when selling to me anyway.

I certainly would have paid no more than about £900 if I'd known about the boot lid so the only explanation is that he's a pond life trader who bought it very cheap and then hatched a plan to immediately flip it by doing what he did.

On the up side, it looks like it might have had a recent clutch.

I'm well over it, but I was merely curious.

What's your next plan of attack regarding your boot lock?

I'm going back up to Subpars bit tonight to avail his Civic of it's boot relay, which is a wee box inside the boot trim that I hadn't really thought about prior.

Cheers, I've got no choice really, my wife needs a car with an opening boot and I can't afford another car. Garages round my way are too busy and are in the main only interested in easy jobs.
