Yeah, I'd need to be sure I find one of the correct grade though. No doubt there will be ones available!

Extraction. Something like: https://www.screwfix.com/p/laser-tx-ext ... eces/6329f
I'd try that first before getting the welder out because FIRE. Then I'd move up to drilling the bastard out, preferably with some left-handed bits.
You have to hand it to the clown for mullering a Torx head. It's quite hard to do compared to a Allen head unless using the wrong (too small) sized bit.
Welding a nut will work, bar the fact it's buried in a channel and gripping a decent sized nut is going to be hard down there.
At lease it's not a pile of rust like I was having to deal with on the Rialto.

Re: Fleet Occurrences
Or the idiot was using an Allen bit on the torx as I've seen idiots do. The other way around works on rounded Allen bolts though.

Remove the seat and there could well be more to grab onto if it's just the head sheared on the broken ones.Eddie Honda wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 12:35 pm You have to hand it to the clown for mullering a Torx head. Torx is designed to be rammed hard on a production line to not cam out and round off. It's why they're popular on cars nowadays.
Re: Fleet Occurrences
Sorry this is giving you grief. This is the guy who butchered the seat if you want to call him a cunt

Re: Fleet Occurrences
Is the upholstery good though?
If it was the upholsterer that took the seat out, I'd probably still use them but keep them away from the tools and sat at the sewing machine. If it was some other diddy before taking it there, then I take that back.
