I think I'm wasting my time servicing it. This is the old air filter.

It's brand new and it must have been serviced when it was mot'd a couple of weeks ago.

Anyone any idea what this is on top of the battery? Is it a black box? Any harm done if I remove it?

Cheers. Just had a look. Tracks vehicle speed etc. Must be from when his grandaughter was driving it. It was her first car when she passed her test.

Google says insurance blackbox as well as what Eddie said.

Fit it to your track toy & see if they get anything back about it.

It has an IMEI number on the label so definitely a tracking box.

On a decent running petrol that has been serviced regularly, it will stay clear looking for ages.

So could be fresh, could be old.

Given the filter looks clean, probably fresh.

Been on a collection mission this morning. Road noise from the pug seems excessive. Might be a trait but not having a parcel shelf won't help.
Will there be cables in the boot for speakers or will I have to run some from the radio?
Bargain for £40 whatever the result.

Changed the plugs. These haven't been changed recently so I haven't completely wasted my money on the service kit. It's a joy to work on, tons of room and everything is so simple. I was just about to change the oil before the traffic warden turned up. He ticketed the car opposite. I said, I'll shift but he said just to leave it.
Aye, fuck that. I've moved it. The burn on the plugs looks okay at least.

Look at the size of the exhaust
It's like a length of 22mm copper. Straight through pipe to the back box. That'll be why it's so fast then
