Discontinued Wob That Could Be A Viable Proposition If Remade Under Licence.

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Discontinued Wob That Could Be A Viable Proposition If Remade Under Licence.

Post by Warren t claim »

AFAIK the Seat Exeo was the last car sold here which was made under licence. This got me thinking about what chod would sell here if the original manufacturer was willing to flog the tooling on.

My choice would be the last shape Skoda Octavia.

In a similar vein of relicensed cars being usually a cheaper alternative,I've noticed lately that Dacia,a budget Renault seem to have risen in price. Not to mainstream pricing but enough to make potential buyers think.

I believe Carlos Santana had a side hustle making them in his quiet musical period between Black Magic Woman and his Supernatural album.

Not discontinued yet, but, I will swallow my own toss if the Ford Fiesta doesn’t get reborn under a different nameplate somehow.

Not so sure about that - they had to stop selling it in the USA in 2011 because they can't fit smart airbags to it, and they were only able to carry on selling in the EU after GM paid for the development and testing - that led to the VX220. It's always been a struggle to keep it up to US/EU crash and safety standards, although it would make a lot of sense for a small volume producer like Caterham or someone I suppose.
