The impellers don't half look different - I've never had an issue with cooling and the heater's pretty effective, so hopefully it won't start to be an issue now.

Which is which?

That's that one & the other one is the other one.

Obviously.

Both water pumps probably work, but the one with the flimsy looking pressed impeller is the one with the short shaft which means the bearings will last more than ten seconds.

My injection kit arrived today - I was all full of glee until I realised I have to put the engine and box back in before I can make use of it.

Well, thanks to my fabulous mate who came round to give me a hand with something else but allowed himself to be roped into this, this happened!

Engine and box back in! Quite a bit still to do, but a lot further on than I was.

Good work! I'm lucky to have the odd mate like that....Show 'em something new and shiny and they have to get stuck in!

Just compared the inlets - the carb mounting is different. Lucky for me AMC seem to have decided to fit an adapter plate at the factory so when they changed carb designs form 1967 to 1968, I can just swap them over so the carb mount is the one I need for the Holley Fuel injection.

Got a bit of time yesterday so had a crack at the water pump. How is it that the remains of the gasket are on the engine for the one I took off but also on the pump for the one I took off the old engine? That's just unfair, God.
