Managed to get the bolts in last night, so in theory it's all bolted together - next job is the oil filter pipes I think.

Finally got a bit of time - so this is done (but not tested yet).

They are on the underside of the engine so will mostly be out of sight. These are the fittings and colours I aspired to when I used to buy Custom Car etc and I evidently haven’t moved on

Decided to remove the water pump from the old engine to fit it to the "new" one.
For a very short period in 1967 AMC decided to use a longer shaft water pump.
It was wank, lasted a very short time and almost all are extinct, so guess which one is on my "new" engine?

After several snapped bolts and a lot of swearing, I have the pump off the old engine - it's not that old actually as I changed it. Also the 'stat housing which is missing from the new engine.
I am feeling the after effects of the sniffles though and I am fucked after that one little job.

My hand slipped and I accidentally ordered a fuel injection system from the US as well.
