I put tyres meant for a Transit van on my MK X, they were the only thing around in the correct size (205/14) that were affordable. They ruined it!

I've seen a fairly late Silver Spirit for sale, but with van tyres on. They look dreadful.

It's been a while since I last updated about any of my old shitters as there hasn't been a lot going on, just plenty of modern shit to help pay the bills. After a few unsucessful attempts to sell the Lancia I decided it was time to splash the cash again. I kind of do an Eddie every now and again and completly forget how much money is invested in my cars. When I look at what I have done to the Lancia it doesn't look like a lot so I will assume I haven't spent more than 5 grand on it so far which means another grand won't hurt. First up was the radiator, it was a bit blocked and I needed a fan switch built into it. I obtained the correct rad with switch and then spent over 300 quid getting it reconditioned. That is all in now and the fan should now cut in if required. Next I decided to have a look at what may realistically need to be done to get a clean mot on it. I don't usually bother with the classics but maybe that is what is holding it back. First thing was a few split cv gaiters and the rubbers on the top ball joints. All fairly easy except for 3 sheared bolts holding the o/s inner joint on. They had stuck the bolts in the holes with silicon to make it look like they were ok. At least they all came out ok with very little effort. What I wasn't expecting was when undoing the lower shock mount one side to do the ball joints the shock absorber fell in half. Oh well more money and another 150 quid got those replaced. With the front end all back together again this afternoon I decided to have a bit of an SiC moment and poke the floor pans. At least the inner sills and front bulkhead are all solid as I now have a floor like a collender. Another 300 quid and a pair of floor pans are on the way from Italy. The guy welding my Rover has been a bit quiet of late but did say he will have it done by new year. I wonder if I should mention the floors to him just yet ? He is a really nice lad and does a great job so I am told but he wouldn't even weld his brothers Morris Minor up so he might not be up for a cash paying job. If I can find another interesting moped maybe I can talk him round.

I guess you saw this near us?

It is wedding car white but looks alright from the pictures (if not really full of filler). I'd thought a sharp offer would be suitable soon given the time of year and slow market.

Not a bad car but it's white and the rear arches don't look quite right so not for me. This one is up for £5k but needs at least brake work. At least it is a colour.

Would be great for thrashing and then driving into a swimming pool. That's if you can bare the Savile remarks...
