Probably would have been worth an extra grand if he hadn't chopped the cat off. Without the cat, it's not exactly going to pass an MOT.
As The Rev likes to say, It's Scrap.
Have you swapped the one on the car you were selling for your in law's yet?
Better the cash is in their pockets than the scrote who nicks it when it's parked up.
No I won't be doing anything like that as I said in the thread. My Clio 172 cat was worth more and that didn't get nicked.
Plus she's decided she is keeping it till August now. No doubt end up being delayed again after that with her not wanting to hang up the keys just yet.
Sorted out the correct wheels for the turbo and had them powder coated. A new set of Avon's as well just to push the boat out. It is now off to the bodyshop to have the roof and a few other panels sorted. It really needs a full respray but for now I will do the bits that need doing before the new windscreen is fitted.

Is your recovery truck behaving now?
No still not right but as I don't use it very often I haven't tried too hard to fix it. When I next get a bit of free time I will pull the injectors out again as that is the only thing I think it can be. It was better after I had them tested and one overhauled so I suspect that another has gone down since. It still does the job though as long as you drive it gently and don't take it over 3000 rpm.
Not much new on the fleet at the moment just the truck has gone, but 2 cars have now had some paint.
First up the 25 took a lot longer than expected but he has done a pretty good job. So far just the roof bonnet tailgate and bumpers have been done. The new windscreen is in and it is just about ready for an mot later this week. Fingers crossed they don't find too much as I need a ticket to register this one. There are a few things but hopefully they won't pick up on too much. I have even fixed the abs fault which was a bit of a result as my code reader wouldn't talk to it so it was a case of testing all the sensors. The o/s/f was faulty and typically unavailable but a n/s/f will fit just about and is cheap so sorted.

Once it gets the mot I will send it back to the paintshop to get the sides done.
Next up the Lancia is back from a very cheap blow over. I was owed a few quid by a customer who got his painter to do it for me. The old boy is in his 80's and doesn't have the best eyesight but it will do. Bled the brakes again today and gave it a proper run just the wipers to put back on and a few other little jobs and it's done. The 1.3 is really quite sweet in these and it will make a great little classic, so far ahead of the shit churned out by BL in period.

My brother in law owned one of those in about 82-83 on a J plate it was like a Moss Green Metalic with a crushed green velour interior.
He got it for free from a neighbour whose husband has passed away after helping them over the years the wife said I cant drive would you like this and it became his for the best price
[For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
That is a bit of a weird one they have binned that shite carb but a single point injection system may not be much better. Also it is a pre R so will be a wallowing old boat. Probably about the right money but not for me.
