With the exception of the wheatsheafs that is the offside completed and it looks not three bad.
And from the other end...
Apparently taglines should be in a script so they don't compete with the main story.
There is a lot going on with these letters which is why they took a long time to do.
Close up on the letters gives a better clue as to how much is going on.
He's gone home for a week to press on with work for other customers but should be back a week today to get it done. Sadly it is finished just in time for the cold weather so it won't get varnished until next year.

- I scored very low on the autie test. I’m cheerful, happy, confident, like meeting new people, chatty and largely sociable. What the fuck am I doing on this forum?

That is the lad back for the last time, A few more hours this morning and that will be it all done bar the varnishing.
The only thing that has gone on the back is a discrete fleet number. The design of the rear doors made it all but impossible to put anything on them.
Look ma! Pneumatic tyres!
Nearside lettering all done and not yet dusted.
This was the wheat sheafs about half way through.
Adding the detail...
And the finished item.
So there you go. The first entry I made in a blog elsewhere was March 2016 and by that point we had spent a couple of months sketching out ideas and starting to collect stuff so that is a little under 8 years to get it done. The black Super took a little over four years to finish. In our defence I have built a house at the same time (and a chunk of another) and this one has had significantly more time and money sank into getting it right.
Still, job jobbed.
I reckon my next project should be to learn how to take photos that aren't shite.

Part of me feels a bit cross about it because what most people see is the admittedly amazing livery and comment on the skills of the painter.
Yeah, but we built the bloody canvas...

I've read every instalment of this project published here and in the other place and I've learned a lot about something quite fascinating and am in awe of your work-rate. Finding the time to write it all up as you go to share with us needs a big thank you.
Hope to watch it steam past sometime! Congratulations.

Nobody without seeing the updates would ever believe that you basically built that from scratch! It's a credit to everybody involved.

Paint is microns thick. Had that not been built properly it would look shit, however good the artist. I suppose the gilding of the lily will always be the most obviously appreciated.....
As Mr Bickle rightly alluded, it will be here long after all of us and long after the paint loses its lustre.

There's a great long bar in Rock & Roll heaven.......
