Ford immobiliser problem, help and suggestions?

I think the immobiliser has shaken a 6 on the Maverick, turned it off and it won't restart, no power to the starter from the ignition and the theft light is flashing at top speed.
Just got recovered back to the caravan.

Anybody got any ideas? Only got the one key, fig for lock unlock works normally, all day lights appear normal too.

Otherwise suggestions for an auto electrician or auto locksmith near Scarborough?

Thanks

I'd disconnect the battery and then reconnect it after a few minutes.
As you can no doubt tell I've no idea about electrics but it's easy and at no cost.
I did have this problem a few months ago with my camper and it turned out that some waxoyl had dripped onto the starter motor connection. That was fixed by my local garage as I was stumped, it was starting ok and then just wouldn't even turn over the next time I tried. The immobiliser light was throwing a fit as well which was a bit misleading, that's my excuse anyway for not finding a solution.

Might be a loada shite, but worth a try

http://www.mirez.co.uk/KeyProg.htm

Infrared Programming Instructions:

Put your key into the ignition and turn to position 1 (Radio). After approximately 10 seconds the red alarm control LED (next to the clock) should illuminate. As soon as it comes on remove the key from the ignition - the LED should remain lit.Point the remote's "eye" at one of the front door sensors and press the rear button until the light on the transmitter illuminates (Keep the button pressed)With the rear button held in press the front button 4 times then release both at the same time. The control lights in both clock and fob will flash 4 times to indicate programming complete.Turn the ignition back on to exit programming mode

Radio Frequency Programming Instructions:

Insert the ignition key and turn from position II (Ignition) to position 0 (All off) and back four times within three seconds.Remove the ignition key. The locking control system is now in "learn mode" for the next 20 seconds and the red warning system LED (By the clock) stays on continuously to indicate this.During the 20 seconds press one of the transmitter buttons. The remotes signal and code number is learned by the locking module and is indicated by flashing the warning system LED.Wait until learn mode times out (20 seconds) or switch the ignition back to ON.

Well I have no idea what I have done but it just started.
Battery has been disconnected for several hours, just pushed the negative lead back on so I could lock it up and noticed the THEFT light was doing it's normal slow blink as it has been all the time. Locked it with the key then unlocked it twice with the key.
Theft light changed to doing blinks of 3.
Put key in ignition and it started instantly.

WTF?

The key might have lost sync with the ECU & using it in the lock has reset it.

I know that works on my XJR when I change the fob battery & that's got lots of Ford electrics in it.

Tried using the key in the lock lots of times previously, only difference was the trying to unlock it when it was already unlocked, and probably with it being dark seeing that it made a difference to the flash routine, I know something I used to have had some wierd ferry setting for the alarm accessed that way....

Transponder ring or the connection to it?

Reading the codes as that video shows above should tell you for sure.
