I need to get a new radiator and this one keeps cracking because it's old.
A new radiator is fiercely expensive and will be have to wait until the new year.
It's a big chunky old engine, but the heater core is the lowest point (natch).

Re: K-Seal?
As Eddie says don't bother with the stuff. I have never had much success with it and all it does is clog the heater.

Re: K-Seal?
Is it possible to fit in a non Pontiac radiator even as a temporary measure? Especially if the area is massive, a trip to a junkyard might find something cheap and usable.

You just know you'll be cursing for a longtime after on having to flush the crud from kseal out after you put a proper new radiator on. And also the risk that'll get clogged up if there is any of it left floating around.

Re: K-Seal?
Probably going to be more expensive getting it shipped and import duty to where Phil is in the USA than having it made over there.

This chap reckons a Chevvy truck rad fits in nicely with his (presumably v8) conversion, but may need some work (adaptors?) for the straight 8.

Re: K-Seal?
Do you have any custom rad places near you that can make a fittable aluminium alternative. I don't know what sort of costs you're coming up against but by the time I added the DHL "dropoff" (quite literally) down from Dumfries for my NOS one I could have added a few more quid and done that.
K Seal is something I would use to get home and certainly not if I was the bloke planning to fit another rad....

Re: K-Seal?
No idea how much companies in the States charge, but I had the one in my A70 recored a few months ago by a local place, £300. Replacing with a new one simply isn’t an option.
