Speaking of dash, a mate had a new Corsa as a courtesy car when his Evora was in for a service (he wasn't impressed!). The digital dash on them are comically poor. Even a thirty quid kindle has a far superior display.

I'm sure almost all cars are. Just a lot needs to be sold to make them profitable as a whole. I imagine Ford have done the sums and figured it's not worth them doing the effort.

Metro was helped by being developed on a shoestring and using ancient parts bin technology. Then cranked out long past it's sell by date.

The 1999 KA was never a new car. Any car you have to weld for its first MOT and need to remember the rule of nine to set the tappets was born an old car.

I agree about the C4. I agree about shit old cars causing grief. But in 99 I bought a Punto as it offered the most space for shagging. After it was written off (not my fault) I bought a new Ka. Loved it. But my partner hated it.

The Punto was excellent but I preferred the Ka. It was a bit special whilst the Fiat was another small car.

Mine had it first MOT fail on corrosion at 10 years old.

I didn't do the tappets once in the 60,000 miles it did in three years.
