Some of you cunts seem to want to go back to the days of cross ply tyres and static seat belts.

It was me, treading on the pedal enough to hold the car meant such a loud twang when pulling the handle to release it I thought something would break.

Late 80's/early 90's seem to have been the pinnacle of modern automotive engineers as Sup Par and RBJ have referred to.
Saying that my main vehicle is a 2018 BMW 320d - it is excellent at being an car and will comfortably transport you 700 miles plus on a single tank of diesel.
Has it got a touchscreen - yes but I rarely use it, all the main functions are either i-drive or button operated which is fine with me.
Has it got stop start - yes, I just switch it off via a button
Luckily, being essentially a rep mobile, it has none of that lane departure shite etc.
I don't have the time or inclination to fanny around with older cars any more.
My second car is a Y plate V70 that, despite how much I abuse it, just carries on doing it's thing. Which pleaseses me.
TL:DR all cars are shite or good depending upon the model you choose

I can tell it’s rubbish just by looking at it.Jazoli wrote: ↑Thu Oct 20, 2022 4:55 pm Today's piece of shit turned out to be a DS3 as they'd delivered the wrong car last night.
What a stupid pos, no way of controlling the heater without pressing a touch sensitive button on the dashboard that needed 3 or 4 prods then you have to try and hit a part of the screen whilst driving down bumpy lanes.20221020_143637.jpg
The the 'piece de resistance' is a big lump of plastic as a styling feature that stops you being able to do a shoulder check whilst changing lanes

It's a 1.0 3 cylinder (I think, never checked but I'm sure its a triple )with an 8 speed gearbox that never knows which gear to be on and cannot creep smoothly in traffic.
What a load of toss it is.
