I believe he's trying to say, replace the ECU with one where you've previously disabled the immobiliser functionality.

Didn't work when the scrotes wanted the posh stereo out of my Renault 25 (the fancy thing that took up the entire centre console) I had a load of broken glass, no stereo (or cassettes for that matter) and my clothes that I'd left in the back dumped in someone's hedge.

Broken glass gets everywhere!
I used to leave mine unlocked. My theory was I'd rather they open a door and find fuck all worth nicking rather than breaking a window.

Immo off = immobiliser switched off in the ECU firmware
