I think they could have managed to say Legend a few extra times, I did enjoy seeing it though.

Shows how little the line had changed, but then neither had the car under the skin. They'd kept the same rust traps from the original XJ for starters.

When Ford took them over didn't the chief guy say something like the only factory that he'd seen that was worse was the GAZ factory in the USSR.

It was well known at the time how archaic it was.

If I remember correctly John Egan spoke about it in his book about Jaguar.

But, nobody could really better the XJ12.

I wouldn’t cross the road to look at a recent Jag though.
